I can easily say this is the nicest watch I've owned. I debated whether or not to buy it because the case window is made out of mineral, as opposed to the much more scratch resistant (and frankly better) sapphire. But seeing as how this watch is meant to be worn daily and isn't necessarily a luxury piece- I'm fine with the mineral window. That's not to say it isn't elegant, because due to the matte gunmetal color, the silver hour indicators and of course the skeleton inside- this watch is gorgeous. I find myself staring at the gears as they turn the hands, it's intoxicating. I can't emphasize enough just how stunning the design of this piece is.
If you want a collector's item, look elsewhere. But if you want a quality watch that seamlessly blends fashion and function (for an extremely affordable price,) then buy this watch. That's what I was looking for and I am quite satisfied.

I'm not sure what happened to the price. This watch was $89.00 or so a week ago when I purchased it, and now it's $115.00 as of this writing. Nevertheless, if I saw this at the higher price, I would still consider it a great bargain. It has a big bold watch face and might be too large for some smaller framed men. I'm about 5-10, 200 lbs. so as a husky guy, its perfectly fine. Not that you need to be large, but just keep in mind, it's not for everyone.

That being said, I wanted a large face. It's a bit of the trend now and it completes my watch collection. This is my third automatic watch, and probably my new favorite. Whatever reason for the price change, just remember, this watch holds its own with watches costing $500 and up. I own some, so I know.

Also, look at other versions. There is the identical watch, but with a lighter color casing.

I just bought this watch as a gift to myself. It's a gunmetal color and very nice looking. I have another automatic Kenneth Cole watch and have really enjoyed it. The quality of the watch seems very good and after seeing it at Macys for 150 and getting it here for 66% of the price I couldn't be happier. It's a big watch and may look big if you have little girlie wrists but if you're a big burly man like myself it will be a good size. That's all I got.

I recently found myself needing to replace my trusty 10 yr old Seiko Kinetic. I have always enjoyed watches and rely on them so this was not a hasty purchase. After many hours of hunting and research I finally decided to buy the Stuhrling Original Raven Diablo (Silvertone) from Amazon. So far this has turned out to be an excellent decision and I am extremely pleased.

I had no specific brand in mind when I began my research-I simply wanted an affordable timepiece that met the following criteria:
-automatic mechanical movement
-rubber adjustable strap
-water resistance
-luminescent hands and markers
-quality crystal
-interesting (might as well enjoy it too, right?)

To the service department of sturling,

July 14, 2009, I purchased a Sturling Raven Diablo watch. This past February I sent in my to be serviced because something seemed to be loose in the movement. Keep in mind, the watch was not even 1 year old and was returned to me 4 weeks later, fixed? Today October 8, 2010, to my surprise, my watch stopped working and when I pulled the pin to set the watch before winding, the pin came all the way out and the watch still does not work after manually winding it. !!! This is disappointment and unfortunately reflects badly on your product line. I am afraid to send in my timepiece because I should not waste another $20.00 and the fear that something else will go wrong.

I cannot in good faith every buy a sturling product or recommend one to someone looking for a quality timepiece.

Always have thought of Stuhrling watches as a bit of a joke but I couldn't ignore the design of this piece. It is a stunnin, skeleton movement in the vain of Bell & Ross watches and a fraction of the price. I own Tags and Omegas and this easily holds its own in terms of presence and design.
For $200 whats not to love?

I ordered this watch using an Amazon gift card along with my credit card. I received the item very quickly utilizing the Free Super Saver shipping that was offered with te item. I received the watch and anxiously opened it hoping it was as described and it definitely is. The watch is a very classy time piece and since receiving it and wearing it on multiple ocassions I have gotten many compliments on the watch. I also have to say this is a high quality watch and has kept nothing but perfect time. Even though it is an automatic I have not yet had to reset the watch even after leaving the watch sit for a day or two. The watch is great and I definitely will buy the Stuhrling brand again. Very pleased with the item, price, and service!

The watch came in a very stylish, high-end looking package which gave a distinct high quality feeling of the product already when opening. Inside the watch box everything was neatly organized.

The watch itself is mesmerizing to watch. The skeleton mechanics are so beautiful to behold through the glass that you find yourself not looking at the time, but at the watch itself.

If I really have to find something to complain about, it would be that the wristband is a lot more blue than it looks in the pictures. This might also be due to my bad computer screen but it is not any kind of a deal breaker anyway. From the looks of it, I might very well order more Stührling watches.

I highly recommend this product if you want a skeleton watch with a lot of functions for a bargain price!
